ALL ABOUT ENVELOPES

SO MANY ENVELOPES... SO MANY QUESTIONS!

We want to ensure you are making the best decisions when it comes to your invitation suites, so we put together a little blurb all about envelopes. We get many questions surrounding the very first impression your guests will get when receiving your invitations... your envelopes! We hope this can bring a little peace of mind to your decision making when it comes to choosing the right envelope combination for you.

THE A7.5 OUTER ENVELOPE

What's it all about? The Outer Envelope has an interesting backstory. "Way back when" (specific dates unknown), important letters were brought to their destination by horse and carriage. The horse would often kick up mud onto the letters, leaving not-so-desirable first impressions on invitations to important events. Enter, the outer envelope. The outer envelope is meant to be a wrapping of sorts for your main inner envelopes. May it be rain, mud or coffee spilled on by the mailman - the outer envelope can handle it.
On a more traditional note, the outer envelope allows you to get more specific on who exactly is invited to your wedding. The outer envelope has the guest address, but the inner envelope can simply have the first names of guests who are invited from the family. For example, the outer envelope may read, "The Connor Family", but the inner envelope may read "Kira and Michael Connor" - leaving your guests without question who exactly is invited. This is ideal if you are choosing to not have children attend your wedding.
Do you need outer envelopes? Absolutely not. They are certainly not required - but a nice addition for tradition.

THE A7 INNER ENVELOPE

Simply put, the Inner Envelope is your traditional 5.25"x7.25" envelope that holds your 5"x7" invitation cards - the one that is necessary for all wedding invitations being sent by mail. It holds your wedding invitations, and may have an envelope liner if interested in that added luxury.

THE A1 RSVP ENVELOPE

The envelope that holds your response cards for your guests to send back to you in. Typically, the size for this envelope is 3 5/8" x 5 1/8" and is placed inside the inner envelope along with the response card.
